He did tell the police about the gun in the car and said he was not smoking any weed. No evidence to prove otherwise based on media reports.

Yet another example of how this team is completely off the rails right now, IMHO. And his presence won't make that much of a difference to the outcome of the game. Cajuns will roll.

Well he did have weed paraphernalia and a roach in the car too. So...yeah, he was probably smoking.

If you're waiting on me to argue that point I won't. Just reporting the facts as I knew them.

I didn't want to bring up any details, just wanted to know if he was making the trip to Lafayette.

I expect a tough game. We've been playing each other since 1974. Blake will have a trick or two up his sleeve.

And stAte has won twice in Lafayette since early 90s . . . once with Gus (that was a very enjoyable ass whipping) and before that in a Tornado shortened game . . .

stAte is a 14 point dog that has lost 3 conference games by 28+ . . . Cajuns roll stAte big in this one . . .

Most of those tricks are ill conceived, ill timed, and don't work!

Oh, come on. We almost pulled off the fainting goat and the fake punt from our own endzone!

Seemed to work in 2016 when you guys beat our ass 35-3.

This team is a shadow of what they used to be. Probably Anderson but the reality is they have no direction or heart at this point. They’ve not had that “it” factor since Mahlzon.

That's because you made the classic mistake of overlooking Blake.

If you don't know or expect his tricks, they will work enough and you'll get your brains beat in. Than you see it once and they don't work again on you.

I think it was the 09 season when Gus came to Lafayette and kicked our butts! In one series, I believe he ran the same play 5 or 6 times in a row and we still didn't know where the ball was going! It looked like something from the CFL.

It was 2012. Its known as the "Run it again" game here because you could hear our coaches on the sideline yelling "Run it again" over the broadcast.

Yup 2012. Hud's second year. Hopes were high for the win with the national TV game. I call it the "black out" game, not due to the Cajun fan apparel that night (white), but because that game set in a motion a crazy night of drinking that resulted in me sleeping on my bathroom floor on a big ole Tuesday night.

That was also the game that Hud started pushing the "Hold the rope" mantra, and the students were distributed tiny pieces of rope pregame.

By the 3rd quarter as the alcohol flowed, it was discovered that the little pieces of rope made great projectiles, and next thing you know our sideline was filled with tiny pieces of rope, much of which made it back to Jonesboro as a souvenir...

Then you guys beat the crap out of us in Jonesboro next year and our celebrations were short lived.

I played for the Cajuns long time ago. In Jonesboro in 75 and 77. Both losses. Beat y'all in 76 at Cajun field. Unfortunately, I had a lot to do with the loss in 77.
