I missed the game and didnt set it to record since I figured Minn had an easy win after what Northwestern did to Maryland last weekend. Did Fleck's head explode when the kicker missed that PAT??

Nothing captured by the cameras that I saw.

I happened to just turn it on for the OT.

Can’t speak for the 4th quarter when Maryland outscored them 17-0 to force OT.

Bad loss. Maryland is not good.

I watched the game. Maryland has a very good offense. What surprised me is that Minnesota had a good lead going into the 4th Quarter but went into conservative mode, which seemed to allow Maryland to come back. It surprised me because PJ doesn't play conservatively. As far as the ending, PJ showed total class. He walked out and congratulated players.

Is their offense really that good though? They scored 3 points against Northwestern last weekend, didn't they? I guess we will have to wait and see which is the real Maryland, but as it stands now that is a bad, bad loss for PJ. 0-2 with all the expectations they had has to sting.

Defense stopped rowing.

The old Rod Carey already has Temple trending down. They've lost 4 of their last 5 games (including a typical Carey bowl game blowout loss). Their only win came by 2 points over the worst AAC team (S. Florida).

I will always wish PJ success just as I root for the success of all NIU grads. With coach Carey I am ambivalent ... I believe that the program was declining under his leadership and I feel that his true strength is as an O line coach. Perhaps he can land on his feet in that role if things do not work out for him at Temple.
