it will be pretty much impossible to fire the guy when they will owe him about $12 million and when they are running commercials during today's game talking about running a $7.5 million dollar deficit this year in the athletics program

tilly fertie is roundly regarded as an idiot in Houston, but I respect the fact that he put his money where his mouth was.....but at the same time you can certainly call into question the idiotic demands he made for any coaching candidate and a buy out to leave back when Applewhite was hired and how that massively limited the pool of candidates to choose from

you can also mock who his hand picked choice of coaches was to replace Applewhite and the horrible deal he worked to get him including paying $1 million to WVU to get him

currently he is suffering massively with the issues in the casino, restaurant, and pro sport business, but I truly hope he is able to work through it and come out with his properties.....but he is still a buffoon, but a buffoon that has done good things for The City Of Houston overall

the good news for him is he failed at the take over of CZR and I believe he made some cash on their eventual sell out to Eldorado

the other good news for him is just before all this had happened he took out a large chunk of cash from his operations with the blessings of his lenders and he had planned on taking out $100 million, but it was doubled to $200 million

so he has some personal cash to fall back on, but he has already put $50 million of that back in and he took out one of the highest interest bridge loans for his business ever so there is a long way to go.....but he is going to be very short on football coach cash for a long time

again I hope he is able to pull things out and it is his cash to flush away on a coach as he sees fit, but it was a horrible hire and a big waste of money and so far it is a massive fail and it looks like uH will be stuck with it for a while

Give it time. As long as he recruits well in Texas, Holgerson should do well.

well I have some bad news on that front

1. uH fires coaches for losing 4 games in a season 03-lmfao (oh wait there are Major 03-shhhh excuses for that now) 03-drunk

2. his first recruiting class was ranked #72, his second recruiting class was ranked #72, and his current recruiting class is ranked #112.....and he is a crappy recruiter overall and has never been known as a good one......and so far his transfers are not panning out to be all that amazing and the best one was booted from the team before playing a down

3. the big blow up last year was suppose to set this year up to be aMaZiNg with seniors and transfers.....it is not

4. he has nothing in the pipeline for a QB and while I think Tune is probably better than he looks he is going to get "tuned up" if they try and rely on him running the ball as a major part of the offense and will not make it 4 seasons

so yea horrible recruiting by a bad/lazy recruiter, playing the always risky transfer game with little success so far, and an "offensive guru" (running an offense that is tired now) not recruiting a decent QB or any QBs for that matter....not really much of a turn around plan, but hey you can tell recruits that he was a middle of the road P5 coach that was on the way to being fired and he makes $4 million a year in the AAC maybe that will impress them...if not maybe he can talk about drinking, drinking red bull, gambling, or do some magic tricks to try and impress recruits 03-idea04-cheers02-13-bananaCOGS
