I'm actually thinking nobody will go bowling this year...we'll play the season and conference championships and then have a bland 4 team playoff...that'll be it.

You're probably right on the money. I could also see the non-playoff NY6 bowls being played then everyone else scheduling a regional opponent instead of a bowl

Come hell or high water, Florida will host all its bowl games

I think all the scheduled bowl games will be played, otherwise I predict there is no college basketball season at all.

They'll all be played. All are outdoors (or roofs can be opened). Most are in states that aren't so restricted due to Covid.

While I think he's incorrect, what is political about his prediction? Cases are soaring nationwide. Hopefully we get a handle on the virus before it becomes unmanageable and we become more restricted as I don't think the country can handle another lockdown.

All I originally stated was fact. Yet he chose to "fix" my post, which is an opinion of his, favored by one political side over the other at the moment.

But since we went there, cases spiking shouldn't necessarily translate to lockdowns, especially when hospital capacity isn't critical in many places, and death rates are statistically close to flat. And lockdowns are controversial, at best. You're right that the country cannot and likely will not take another one, in most places, anyway.

I was talking about the 37 that are scheduled as of now. I would be surprised if any of those scheduled now get canceled this late, although it's certainly a possibility. My opinion is based on what states they are in, and the fact they are (I think) all being played outdoors or in domes with roofs that open.

I don't have a party. I have voted for one R and 2 Ds for president in my 73 years. All other votes were third party or write-ins. I do vote for President every time, though.

I simply felt the correction was unnecessary, that he essentially said things will be shut down again soon. That strikes me as a stance only supported by one party right now, so therefore it depends on the state. Which is what I said to start with.

Oh well, I didn't want to start another stupid political fight. That should be restricted to the pol board. I should have just ignored it.

I was glad ESPN replaced the Boston Bowl in Montgomery. It seems the blue states are canceling and Red States are not. I think CA is the biggest hypocrites by allowing the Rose to be played but giving families orders on how to do private home Thanksgivings. It shows money will triumph medical safety even in CA. Especially when it is very likely be southern and mid-west states invading CA to play the Rose Bowl. BTW, I would really be surprised if LA bowl happens unless it finds another location.
