The Lady Hawks fell to 0-3 in CAA play against the Blue Hens, dropping a close one, 73-66.

Za'Nautica Downs finished with 23 points in the losing effort. She did most of her damage at the free throw line (13 of 16).

A late push by the Hawks falls short. 79-67 final.

RE: 2020-21 Women's Basketball thread
WBB lost 72-59 @ Hofstra (3-6) yesterday to fall to 0-5 in league play. The Pride are not a strong women’s program, and had lost 5 straight entering the weekend.

Carol-Anne Obusek (18-11 double double) and Za’Nautica Downs (23 points) were the only contributors of significance, which aligns with the season trend lately. We’re just not getting much out of the rest of the foster right now.

WBB fell to 0-6 in a 59-48 loss today. Obusek was the lone bright spot after posting her 3rd straight double-double.

RE: 2020-21 Women's Basketball thread
This past weekend, WBB finally returned to the win column for the first time since Dec 11, picking up back to back wins over Charleston (68-66 on Friday @ Charleston; 61-54 on Sunday at home).

Despite the sweep, the Lady Hawks (2-9) could not move past the Cougars (2-6) in the standings and remain in last place. But at least it provided them with a shot at getting out of the CAA cellar.

2 games remain in the regular season, both at home against Towson (7-5). The two teams play on Thursday and Friday this week, with both games starting at 5:30.
