South Alabama has never beaten Georgia Southern. Last year's game featured two inept offenses as it took two overtime periods to determine a winner, even though South Alabama only had a total of 4 first downs in the game. I don't expect a repeat this year, but I do think this game will tell us a lot about both teams. The Vegas line opened with Georgia Southern as a 7 point favorite. The money has been on the Jags though, as the Eagles are now only a 4 point favorite and it's still trending downward. Can the Jags stop the option and move the ball enough to end their 0-6 streak against the Eagles? Tune in tonight at 6:30 CDT on ESPN to find out!

Chances of rain are dropping right before kickoff, so maybe we'll stay dry. But it's a game in our stadium so I wouldn't count on it.

I can think of a bunch of ways in how we did that.

Wished we could push the game off a day or two so there would normal conditions. I would like to see how well our trio of WRs would do vs Georgia Southern.

I predict USA will have at least 3 long pass plays for TD’s and our offense will not be able to respond.

That was the only way we managed to get 4 first downs last year. What is the over/under on the number of first downs we get?

54 yard FG by South, and we are up early 3-0. Already more offense in this game then the entire game last year. And more 1st downs.

Gotta stop hitting them while they are down, eventually the refs will call it and it’ll cost us 15 yards.

Werts has had some pretty incredible reads and passes on this current drive

Campbell’s teams aren’t ones to talk trash. It makes me wonder what was said/done before the game started. I’ve seen GS players take swings and stand over our players to keep them from being able to get up and also rattle off some things. It’s on both sides, but this is not something we’ve seen from the Jags under Campbell.

The GaSo guy def took a swing at our guy. Seems to be GaSo lead, but South guys are feeding back into it.

When they run the option, pick the QB and hit him, every play. Make him pitch it.

The end of the half was stupid. 10-10 at the half. GaSo gets the ball to start the 2nd.
