Was it denied ---or is it still in limbo ?-----Does he have a chance to play this year ?

According to most, Evansville has not agreed to waive the sit-out year, so it's a bit stickier than it should. We need some national writers to put the shaming pressure on them, like other writers have done in the past.

So not denied yet, just not approved.

Maybe that’s where his future lies.

If the issues are off the court, not sure a change in sport helps that.

Cisse, Lance, DJ and Malcolm should be plenty.

Although Rand is 6'8 and bouncy I am concerned about his slim frame. If he can compete on the boards he will definitely be a very good 5th option.

Nolley being 6'7 also allows us to play "small" effectively as well.

Boogie 6'3
Lester 6'5
Nolley 6'7
DJ 6'7
Cisse 6'10

That is a good amount of size on the floor.

If Williams is cleared who starts?

I think:

Boogie
Nolley
DJ
Williams
Cisse

that's a huge lineup. should be strong again on defense

Lots of folks moving LQ to the bench. He's our 2nd most effective returning player. Most points returning. I don't see him on the bench. Probably swap him for Williams.

I agree. LQ won't come off the bench ... Nolley starts on the wing LQ is the 2 ... Boogie the 1.
I'm thinking Cisse might have gotten a sign and start verbal ... but MD could be off the bench quick.
And Williams ain't starting ... yet. DJ is the 4.

Plus he’s not welcome on campus from what I’ve heard.

I expect that Rand will be more suited and more likely to help out down low than Thomas will. And he will be more eager to, than DJ will.

Less a 5th option and more a 3rd option.

I hope you are right and he is very productive.

Our highest profile games are the beginning of the season. Unless Moussa is a disaster (reports are he has been fine) then no way he isn't a Day 1 starter.

Also hoping to see Boogie or Baugh as lead guard - if A-Lo is the starter then this team has a low ceiling

Moussa didn't come to Memphis to come off the bench. He will start Day 1.

I think there is a good chance that Dandridge is a better player coming out of the gate. We will see.

Not saying who will start, but this season will be the first time we have seen Malcolm at 100%. I can’t wait.

Malcom is a very smart and unselfish player. If he is over his knee issues and is 100% I think he will be a key to this teams success.
