Cisse, Lance, DJ and Malcolm should be plenty.
Although Rand is 6'8 and bouncy I am concerned about his slim frame. If he can compete on the boards he will definitely be a very good 5th option.
Nolley being 6'7 also allows us to play "small" effectively as well.
Boogie 6'3
Lester 6'5
Nolley 6'7
DJ 6'7
Cisse 6'10
That is a good amount of size on the floor.
Not that it matters so much at PG, but I'm skeptical that Boogie is actually 6'3".
Tyler Harris was listed at 5-9 and was likely 5-7.
Lomax is listed at 6-0 and is likely 5-10.
Not sure about Boogie, but 6-3 seems a stretch. Not important, just an observation.
I stood right beside him and Alo. I’m 6-1. Boogie is definitely taller and Alo is close to my height. I know it doesn’t look like it on tv but boogie as at least 6-2 with his shoes on.
Which makes him 6-1, lol. I get that almost everybody is listed with shoes on or taller, but that doesn't make them taller than they actually are.
My original point is that Boogie isn't a large size PG. Again, not a big deal. Just an observation.

This has been covered. They release official measurements at Team USA senior camps. A-Lo was measured and came out right at 6 ft. Boogie is noticeably taller so 6' 2" at absolute minimum
With shoes on. Making him 6-1 or so in real life. Hey, I'm old fashioned, lol. I'm 6-1 barefoot, and never list myself at 6-3.
FWIW, Joey Dorsey was listed at 6-9. In the combine, he was measured at 6-6 3/4.

The point is. The avg. NBA PG is in the range of 6'2" to 6' 4" w/ shoes on so painting Boogie as somehow undersized at PG is silly u unless you think the majority of NBA PGs are undersized.
PGs the roughly same height or smaller w/o shoes include Kyrie Irving (6' 1.75"), Chris Paul, eric bledsoe, kyle lowry, trae young, dame Lillard, and many others

I think:
Boogie
Nolley
DJ
Williams
Cisse
that's a huge lineup. should be strong again on defense
Lots of folks moving LQ to the bench. He's our 2nd most effective returning player. Most points returning. I don't see him on the bench. Probably swap him for Williams.
Unless LQ becomes a much better shooter or a much better playmaker, I think he will get lapped by Nolley. I also see Nolley as being a better ballhandling version of DJ.
Nolley put up double the shots of any other teammate last year, and took 100 more shots than Precious. He takes a LOT of low percentage shots. He will have to have a completely different mindset with us.

I'm not painting Boogie as anything. I never said one word about anything being wrong with him. I love the guy.
All I said was it's incorrect to call him a big sized PG, as in "with Boogie we have a big lineup." He isn't big. He's average size. There's nothing wrong with that, lol.
I should never have gotten into this silliness. I said at the time it was unimportant, just a casual observation. I'm out.

Suppose the problem is there is not a required std for height measurement. Say we measure with shoes, Cincy measures without, we play Alo at 6'1" against their 6'3" guy and there's a 4" mismatch.

I remember when Tom Burleson was measured for the NBA draft he measured 7'2 1/2, when he was listed as 7'4 at NC State. When asked the question he answered "i'm 7'4 with my sneakers on.... i always play with my sneakers on"

But that's relative to last year.
Well, yeah. That's kind of all we've got in the preseason. Things like, he is our only returning AAC all-freshman team guy.
He's a solid all-around player. I think he starts as long as he's at Memphis. He might rarely be the top scorer, but he can score. He can also be one of the best defenders on the team and can guard small or big. He can play on or off the ball. As someone else said, he's similar to Antonio Anderson. I recall people trying to bench Antonio his freshman and sophomore years.
I think our most common lineup will be 3 guards, and LQ starts ahead of Williams.

Maybe. FWIW, LQ shot the same as Nolley from 3 and much better than LN inside the arc.

I know what the stats are, they are close overall. I watched a few of Nolley's games from last year and they are similar to his highlight tapes. He was the focal point of their offense and he takes a lot of bad shots.
He can't do that here and he won't have to. He will have a lot more options than he did at VT. If he takes half the shots he did last year, they will be better quality and he will be a lot more efficient. I do think that he has a higher ceiling than LQ because he is taller. He surprisingly isn't that athletic, just slightly more so than LQ.
