To give you a sense of how dominant Grace was in a relatively short race - if this had been on a track, while she finished, 2nd place would be 300 meters behind - on the first turn.

She would have lapped everyone in the field except for the 2nd and 3rd place runners.

Wow, that's a 5:21 mile pace for Grace running by herself. I'm not sure how hard the course was considered but that seems pretty darned fast. In fact, if she was able to maintain that pace for the 8K men's race, she would have finished about 45th or so of the 71 men's runners.

That's a great result for her, given that she wasn't even racing against anyone at that point. Sometimes hard to maintain your edge then. I do wonder what her top end might be, if she's fighting for position.

I think it's great results for both team, so congrats to all. Third in mens' is better than usual (if my memory isn't failing me), and the women did will, too.
