If by a miracle ND wins against Clemson then ND as 2 TAMU 3 and OSU 4. They’ll rig the rankings to make sure there aren’t rematches. Honestly regardless of outcome ND and Clemson shouldn’t both get in. Why do we need to see the possibility of a 3rd matchup between the 2.

If Clemson and Notre Dame both end up in the playoff, I hope they do meet a 3rd time and the CFP gets dragged for the ridiculousness of it.

Honestly, if Iowa State won that game against Oklahoma State, I'd have no problem with them being in front of me.

Seems to me we previously beat both SMU and ECU, so it doesn't affect the strength of our opponents.

Still waiting for the comment that Indiana's loss to Michigan State hurts OSU's strength of record.

Did I miss something?

He’s confusing NW for IU

Thank you. Not sure how that happened.

Anyone who watched NW against Michigan State can tell you that the Wildcats are just not a top 25 team

Those record of opponent numbers are hilarious. Look at how atrocious TAMU and Florida's numbers would be when you remove that game from each schedule...

I still don't understand how the computer systems can have OSU ranked 4th unless they start off heavily weighing pre-season rankings. They've played 4 games.

Nebraska is now 1-4. Rutgers is 2-4. Penn State is 1-5 and Indiana is 5-1. Combined record is 9-14 and really one good opponent. They've played one decent opponent at home and won by a touchdown. Total BS.

RE: Playoffs
If we win our last two games we will rise to #5 because I believe both TXAM and Florida will suffer one more loss giving them 2 overall. At 10-0 that puts us right on the cusp. You can't ask for much more representing the G5 living in a P5 world.

Florida will likely lose but A&M probably won’t b/c Auburn is not very good.

RE: Playoffs
There's road Auburn and home Auburn. 4-0 at home and 1-3 on the road. I'm not sold on TXAM after their performance against LSU. Take out their home win against the Gators and they're not so tough. I'm not suggesting an Auburn auto-victory but it wouldn't surprise me if Jimbo gets a loss in Jordan-Hare. In particular, after the embarrassing beatdown in Tusca Town last week they have an opportunity for redemption in a quality win.

To be fair, A&M isn’t very good either. They barely beat LSU and probably wouldn’t have beat Auburn.

It's ok, Michigan State can end all this chicanery. Ryan Day will have to suffer from watching the game on his basement couch.

What I didn't like in that article was referencing that OSU beat UC last year. Yeah, that was last year-- teams vary in strength year to year. Did anyone last year-- did anyone say-- LSU can't hang with Alabama because Bama beat LSU 29-0 in 2018? No, and Hell No. No one said that because they were judging LSU and Alabama on how they were performing in 2019.

I think it's time to change the narrative about OSU.

If Indiana, and their 82nd rank offense can drop 491 passing yards on OSU-- what the hell do you think will happen when OSU plays Alabama or Clemson?

Maybe then, people will start to ignore their preconceived notions about OSU, and start actually looking @ their stats and performances.

It's time to stop evaluating OSU on their preseason predictions and evaluating them on their performance. THey lost Chase Young, Okudah and Arnette in the 1st round of the draft. Even for a football powerhouse-- losing your All World Defensive End, and 2 stud cornerbacks is a huge blow. The first 2 defensive players off the board with Buckeyes and 3 of the top 9 defensive players were Buckeyes. No wonder their pass defense is a hot mess.

That is a huge freaking hole to fill.

Yeah, Ohio State has a dynamic offense-- but so does Alabama, Clemson and Oklahoma among others. Did you know UC, Clemson and LIberty are the only 3 teams who are top 20 in offense and defense?

The difference between OSU this year and last year is the D. Last year they were 2nd overall (behind Clemson,) and 2nd in pass defense.

This year-- they are 54th in Total Defense and 117th in Passing Defense.

Not even Oklahoma is that bad in defense when they snag a playoff berth every 2 years. Sorry, but a 100th+ ranked passing defense is not a top 4 team, even with OSU's explosive offense. If the game was just about offense, Oklahoma would be in the final 4 every year.

It's not like OSU has had a tough schedule. They have faced the 3 worst teams in the Big Ten and Indiana.

This 2020 team is getting plaudits like they are the 2019-- for which they are not. Just like LSU isn't like their 2019 team. People are judging LSU for their 2020 performance, but why not OSU?

OSU allowed less than 13 points a game in Big X games last year. This year? 26. And like I said- that's 26 points allowed facing 3 of the worst teams in the conference.

OSU's defense sucks. It really is Big XII esque defense this year.

If I was UC or A&M, I would keep harping on how crap OSU's defense is and it would be a travesty for them to make the final 4 playing half a season and having on of the worst defenses in football.

Yeah. I'll say it again, they made Michael Pennix Jr look good. Even Penn State was able to hold him off until the last drive.
