Who knows? It may be something, it may not. But either way, taking sensible steps to slow or stop it, instead of shutting everything down and killing the economy, would almost certainly have made more sense. Either way, I don't see the usefulness of hyperbolic scare tactics.

I heard last night on some “news” show that people that got Covid were experiencing brainfog and lowering of their IQ.
Ahhhh so that’s their new talking points rolled up nicely in a neat little narrative. “OMB got COVID and it made him stupid“.

Regarding long-term effects of a disease:

When I was a teen, my senior year in high school, I was hospitalized for a week with a bad case of strep throat.

Years later I went to the emergency room in severe abdominal pain. I was hospitalized again due to a kidney infection.

I was diagnosed with nephritis linked to the strep infection from years prior.

It turns out that strep can cause kidney or heart damage, depending on the particular strain of the strep bacteria.

The kidney damage is irreversible and only gets progressively worse.


Point is: it's called the luck of the draw. C'est la vie.

But given all the reaction to covid, I feel cheated. Why didn't we respond to strep infection with a global shutdown? Heck, if we had I might have healthy kidneys right now.

The clip i saw of Obama's rambling about the great economy he left that Trump "screwed up" was hilarious. Jug ears was an absolute failure on every thing he touched for 8 years.
