Great history at UCONN but they are done.
And yes... whatever is predicted for SMU you can drop two or three spots due to coach malpractice. It’s a great roster. It’s a shame.
Uconn won a natty in the AAC. Nobody else came close. Cmon...I mean cmon. They have a great program. Let's not get stupid because their football program wasn't that good. I'll be the first to say I'm really sad they left. If we're all together we should have figured out a way to keep them here. It's really sad they left.
Dropping a close Sweet 16 game to Kentucky is close. It isn't Final Four close, but it's not inconceivable either. For that matter, Coogs could've followed Michigan's path to the title game the year before.

CBS gave him no love. I think Scott, Yetna, and Gardner will also have a chance. Still upset no one picked Temple to finish last. Wichita at 5, given the noise around their program and the influx of newcomers, seems a bit high. Somewhere between 6-8 seems more likely. UH, Memphis, UC, and SMU is the safe bet for the top four, but I think USF has a good chance to beat someone out. Lot of returners, some potential impact players in the recruiting class, and they return Yetna. They'll probably be the most physically imposing team not named Memphis. Tulsa is sneaky too but I like USF as my sleeper pick.
1. UH (Because I'm a homer, genuinely surprised no one picked Memphis)
2. Memphis
3. UC
4. USF
5. SMU (They have the roster to win the league but I don't trust Jank)
6. Tulsa
7. Wichita
8. UCF (Would be shocked if Dawkins has them finishing higher)
9. ECU
10. Tulane
11. Temple (They needed to hire someone with no ties to the Dunphy era, imo)
I see ECU's 20 Year Plan is working. We'll be middle of the pack by 2030!

ECU is taking a step forward this year. They’ll be middle of the pack and not at the bottom.

Yes, losing UConn hurts during basketball season.
The AAC could easily replace UConn BB with a very good A-10 program, such as Dayton, VCU, Richmond, or Rhode Island.
ESPN wouldn't block replacing UConn, whether with a single all-sports school, or with a FB-only school and a non-FB school.
What the bleep is keeping the AAC Presidents from making this happen?

Temple, as you predict, may finish last, though we will be competing with ECU and Tulane for that distinction. We are in a rebuild and this project may take some time. McKie will get his 4 years to build the program.
Agree about Temple's situation. If the rebuilding and player development process goes well enough, Temple could be a middle-of-the-pack AAC team in the 2021-22 season, and might be able to compete for a NIT bid with a "bubble" team in the 2022-23 season. Whether or not he'll make enough progress to stay on for more than 4 years and to take the Owls back into the NCAA tournament will remain to be seen.
