I love Thomas, but I hope he decides to retire in Trumps second term. He is getting long in the tooth and I trust Trump to place a 4th justice on the bench. Another youngish "originalist" would ensure a sound court for a very long time.

How many others think Susan Collins just lost her reelection bid?

There are a lot of Republicans who could tolerate a "present" vote, but won't tolerate a "no."

There's talk Alito may retire also.

Thomas is rapidly moving towards becoming the longest serving jurist.

Bryer is heading towards his 83rd birthday. Regardless of who wins next week, they will likely replace him.
