#18 Marshall 5-0 (3-0) @ FIU 0-3 (0-1) - FIU has struggled out of the gate and Butch Davis might not have the effect he once did. I have to go with the Thundering Herd until someone shows me they can beat them & I don't see the Panthers doing it. Marshall 42 FIU 24

UTSA 4-3 (2-1) @ Florida Atlantic 1-1 (1-1) - Intriguing match up in Boca Raton. The Road Runners have been pretty respectable and FAU has only 2 games on their resume. I have to pick the home team in a close one. FAU 28 UTSA 24.

North Texas 2-3 (1-2) @ UTEP 3-3 (0-2) - I'll give the victory to UTEP, personally seems ridiculous that North Texas refuses to travel to El Paso despite all indications are there are no issues with the UTEP football team. They should get the W as a forfeit, despite this being considered "postponed".

Rice 0-1 (0-1) @ Southern Mississippi 1-4 (1-1) - Rice nearly pulled one out vs MTSU and Southern Miss has struggled and their interim coach bolts to FCS APSU, tough one to call. Since in Hattiesburg I'll say USM 31 Rice 28.

UAB 4-2 (2-0) @ LaTech 3-3 (2-2) - LaTech usually holds the upper hand in Ruston but Marshall did come in there and win rather handily and UAB is not too far behind Marshall so look for the Blazers to escape. UAB 35 LaTech 31

Charlotte 2-2 (2-1) @ Duke 1-5 (1-5) - This not a very good Duke team and the 49ers are about average so far. If this game was in Charlotte I would pick the home team but being played in Durham despite a Covid restricted crowd I say the Blue Devils just won't allow an average CUSA team to win in Durham. Duke 38 Charlotte 31.

Western Kentucky 2-4 (1-2) @ BYU 6-0 (*-*) - BYU has been winning pretty handily so far and the WKU offense has been on life support no way the Toppers have a prayer in this one. The WKU defense has been pretty good at times so that will at least keep this from being a massacre, I think, but the Cougars will have the starters out by the 4th quarter. BYU 49 WKU 24.
