RE: Trump’s Secret Weapon
Locally one of our radio talk show hosts said his college age son's ballot was rejected because his signature on the ballot didn't match his signature on the ballot request. He said his son never learned cursive so he does not have a standard signature and signs everything different. He was not surprised the signatures did not match.

Just anecdotal but made me wonder if other millennial voters might run into the same issue.

One's signature does not have to be legible but characteristics of that signature have to be maintained. If you compare a docs signature from Rx to Rx there will be visual consistencies even in their scribble sig.

Had to teach both of my kids how to sign their names. 20 and 16. Wasn't taught "cursive" in school. Ask any 18 year old to write a capital Q in "cursive"and see what you get. They have no clue how a bill becomes law either. I learned that by the time I was 5 along with the Preamble.

Kids don't learn cursive these days. My son only knows it because he taught himself. Many of his friends don't. My daughter doesn't.

Yes. And on printed names, there are the same characteristics. There aren't going to be many false rejected non-matches. Your signature may change over time, but not over a short period. I get amused looking at mine when I was first out of college. Neat and legible. Then after 5 or 6 years in business, it started looking like a doctor's!

Printed signatures can be unique. Kids take notes on computers, so they really don't need the cursive. The only issue is reading cursive advertising or business signs.

RE: Trump’s Secret Weapon
My wife was just asking that question. She voted absentee because she is ill with MSA and her writing is very bad. She used to have the most beautiful writing I ever saw. My mother only went to the fifth grade and my father hardly but you should have seen their handwriting, flawless. Well, anyway she was worried and even asked me how could she make sure her vote was counted and I couldn't give her an answer.

Anyway, here in Texas they have the machines and paper ballots and when they check your credentials they ask you to sign your name on those stupid screens and if you have ever tried to sign your name on those things it comes out a mess. How are they able to tell it was your signature? But, I guess since I had my DL and registration form and my handsome face, er, eyes they knew it was me but absentee ballots I don't know.

Thanks. Mean as a snake, but she’s my snake I guess.

Big day today, got her moved into her new digs where she will finally be operating her own little clinical therapist operation.

Getting away from her wicked witch of a soon to be former “boss”!

Tonight we celebrate! (Tomorrow we hang pictures and arrange furniture...)
