Tigers vs Temple By The Numbers
Tigers will see something they have not been used to seeing this year.

A team that relies on its defense first.

After facing two top 5 offenses the last two games this week the Tigers face one of the top defenses in the AAC.

Temple #1 in the nation in pass defense.

HOWEVER, they have not gotten a single Int this season.

Could point to fact that teams are running on them.

Their QB leads the AAC in completion percentage and has two players who average right at 105 all-purpose yards per game.

Last week the Tigers controlled TOP and it paid off late in the game with a key stop when needed.

Tigers need to find a way to beat the Temple defense earlier and get off to a fast start and force Temple to play catch up.

Temple can still score averaging right at 34 points per game.

And they do not turn over the ball and have very few penalties.

Their line is solid and does not allow many TFL (#1)

They are not hurting themselves.

Tigers cannot allow the presnap penalties we have seen in recent games

Look past these owls to the bearcats, and they can easily strike with their sharp talons just like last year.

Navy threw 2 passes for 38 yds against Temple and won, and USF was 16-29 for 181 yds and lost 3 fumbles or they would have won. That #1 passing defense is pure hooey.

In comparison, we average 354 yds/game passing, Temple averages 411 total yds per game.

Yeah, small sample size can be misleading. I hope we light them up but they always play us tough.

It's one thing giving stats. Interpreting them is another.

USF got bombed 42-13 by Tulsa last night in Tampa for what it's worth.

Not surprising at all. Tulsa has really improved.
