I think we've hit our ceiling with what we can do with Vincent at OC. Between that and the penalties, we are only set up to stay the same as other teams in the C-USA Worst get better.

God , someone FINALLY mentions the penalty situation. UAB is aways one of the most penalized teams in the entire country. It KILLS our drives, and puts our freshman QB in terrible positions......Friday night at one point in the 4th quarter we had 10 penalties, and ULL had ZERO!!!People want to blame the refs, but its been like this EVERY YEAR Clark has been there. Calloway teams weren't this penalized. I just don't understand it.....

Of the teams that have played 6 or more games, UAB is ranked 2nd to last nationally in fewest penalties per game (9.17). In fewest penalty yards per game, we are dead last (87.3). The most penalized team in CUSA 2018, 2019, and leading the pack again so far in 2020.

It deserves to be mentioned in every game thread until the coaching staff wakes up and decides to do something about it. It's impeding our progress as a program and causing us to lose games we shouldn't.

I have complete confidence in Clark as a HC and his loyalty to us has been incredible, but he's got to do something about this and the offense. Address the offense, the qb play, and the penalties, and we can start to take the next step forward as program. If he continues to let his friends run the show and ignore penalties, then we will be stuck in the mud as a top 2-3 CUSA team every year and occasionally win division and conference titles in an awful conference.
