Jerry Palm s projection today has 8 Belt teams in bowls— everybody except ULM and Texas St. to fill all the bowls this year about everyone should go

What is the criteria to be bowl eligible this season???

Winning record??? 6 wins??? What if the PAC12 and MW decide to play and only play 6 games with a CCG??? The B1G is only playing 8 games. Or do we put in the 68 teams with the best records??? Are all bowl games going to play, DI the PAC12 doesn’t play, do we still have a Rose Bowl???

So many questions.

.500 record or better. If the Big Ten plays 8 games they need to go at least 4-4. If the Pac 12 played a 6 game schedule, 3-3. Although if bowls do happen then there will probably be waivers to let any team play due to lack of available teams.

B1G is playing 8 games + 1 game = 9 games total

Top Division teams will play in the B1G Championship, but all others will play a cross-divisional game same weekend of the B1G Championship

So 5-4 to be bowl eligible

But yeah, that would be impressive to have that many teams bowling this year. It may be a stretch to think 8 will have winning records. Would have been more likely if USA beat Tulane. I'm really hoping that we play in the Frisco bowl or Armed Forces Bowl this year.

There are more than 40 bowl games scheduled, currently there aren’t 80+ teams playing. It all comes down to what conferences actually do play. Without the MW, PAC12 and MAC playing, it pretty much leaves all other teams going bowling.

Any Coastal ppl know if the Myrtle Beach bowl is gonna happen this year?

I’m one who believes if you’re not at least .500 you should not go to a bowl. That may leave TROY out of the pic

There is no requirement this year. Everyone is eligible regardless of record.

The PAC-12 and MAC haven’t played a game yet. The Big Ten and MWC have only played one game. Army is 6-1 and has already accepted an Independence Bowl invite:
