Go Rockets!
Talent in Michigan is not very deep. It's one reason why Michigan is down even though they recruit nationally. MSU still plucked a lot of guys out of Ohio with the Dantonio connection. Michigan only has 13 guys from Ohio on their roster this year (OSU has just 3 from Michigan; MSU has 27 from Ohio). The 13 Ohio guys on the Michigan roster is way down from prior years. Top Ohio talent is less enthused about a Michigan offer than in the past. With Dantonio out at MSU, we should be seeing even more Ohio talent signing at Toledo in the future. Toledo has 11 from Michigan on its roster and 15 from Florida, and 50 from Ohio. That is from the entire roster isting.
Rockets need to consistantly win the MAC and their Bowl games. UT Bowl wins used to be a given. They
have failed to show up since the Boca Bowl appearance. It has not been due to a lack of talent.
Looking for the new staff to make a huge difference.

Once we were within a few days of today, and there was still no announcement, I decided I was okay with holding the decision until game time so that the opponent does not know

While I wonder as well if the running game is going good it should not matter who the QB is we should win. At this point then BGSUCKS is guessing too and that is probably a good thing

Torsten Boss; Jason Fracasa, Tommy Vento, Prescott Line, Mark Chapman, Travis Smith, Alex Malzone, Donnie Corley, Cody White, La'Darius Jefferson
Those are all the winners from 2008 to 2017 - before Finn won it in 2018. I'd like to hope Finn makes a name for himself at the D1 level at Toledo. Not sure any of those other guys saw much playing time in college. 6 were quarterbacks in HS
Just saw on the MAC review of games that LaDarius Jefferson (last one listed as 2017 Michigan Mr. Football) is now a running back for Western. Had the highest yards per carry on the week at 7.8 - but only 9 carries for 70 yards. And that was against that powerful Akron defense. (btw - a teammate also had 9 carries for 68 yards against Akron) The Western QB was 12 of 16 for 262. That's an average of 22 yards/catch. Glad we had a better test with BG going into that game. BG beat Akron last year 35-6 and lost to Western 49-10. We beat Western (prior to the neutering by BG) 31-24.
Not feeling good about our QB situation heading into that game. Peters played Ok against BG, but do I trust him to produce in a big game? Not yet.

RE: Starting QB?
The offensive staff seemed to have the right idea at the beginning of the game with shorter throws, let him get the ball away, complete a few and get comfortable. The downfield throws seemed iffy but you have to keep them honest. How much can be chalked up to the disruption of any semblance of a pre-season camp time will tell.

Impressive to watch as is his bio. Smart, led HS team to state championship in tough Florida. Got to MAC because he's a short 5'10." We're not going to chase him down from behind and he throws a nice roll-out. Up to the secondary to cover and the LBs to contain.

well, I guess that means CMU won't have to scout him before they play WMU...

Don't forget, Peters had to play the whole second half at K'zoo in 2018 when Mitch was injured. Eli passed for 3 TDs with a passing efficiency of about 192.

Isn't that CMU's qb? I was watching when they were taking about his height and his huge Florida HS numbers.

RE: Starting QB?
Not that my opinion means anything. The Rockets need a QB who does a decent job of distributing the ball and not making mistakes Peters did that the first game. If he continues to do so Rockets will keep winning games and he will keep playing. I will admit I would rather see Bradley or Finn in there as well.

I’m guessing Bradley is now 3rd choice off bench.

Not necessarily. Bradley has more game experience.
Just might wanted to get Finn some more game time.

He does... I haven’t been real impressed with Bradley in his relatively short stints but I’ll keep a very open mind.
