The Two Key Plays
I know it's impossible to take a game with 99 points scored, 1,500 yards of offense and 191 plays and reduce it to two plays, but if either of the two plays don't happen we have no chance of winning. They happened 3 plays apart.
The fumble by UCF with 4 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter, at the goal line was crazy. They run it in and are up 42-23 and we are almost dead. Then right after that, the scramble by White for 8 yards on 3rd and 7 from out 7 yard line had to happen. If we have to kick from our 10 yard line, it is pretty much over. I think if it would have been 4th and 1 from our own 14 yard line we would have gone for it.
Incredible.

One similarity between this team and our recent teams is They never quit and never believe they can't overcome and win.
I didn't know if that mindset would translate to this year's team after the coaching change, but it seems to have done so.

Agree. Drastic culture change from the old days, where we would fold and things got out of hand quickly.
Penny has also done a nice job in turning this exact thing around in basketball. Towards the end of Pastner and then with the Tubby days, we had games where we just quit. And it's much more obvious in basketball. They are not there 100% yet, but have gotten MUCH better.
