Freeze is in a unique spot, that may cause him to stay at Liberty for a while. With maybe a few exceptions, P5’s don’t want him because of the stigma and scandal. And with maybe a few exceptions, the G5’s can’t pay more than what Liberty is paying him now. So there really won’t be a lot of other places that he fits in.

The only caveat is that if he keeps winning at Liberty, some P5 will eventually ignore his background and hire him anyway because of course they will. But I don’t think we’ve reached that point quite yet.

Right. They have had money for a while and of course hiring great ethical and morallly clean human beings like Ian McCaw and Hugh Pees have helped them and if we win it won't be a fluke. If money can win games then there is no point in playing games you USM folks should know better than that.

The thing about that whole mess was he says he wasn't charged with anything and that gives him a clean chit and when had NCAA ever done something sane? UNC TarHoles are still waiting for what comes out of fake classes scam from NCAA. NCAA is a big joke.

Even if Hugh leaves this season, Malik Willis will be back next season. I really think Hugh will stay one more year and solidify his spot with a big school. I think FSU and Auburn are likely. We should easily beat ODU.

I read as much as I could on the matter several years back, in part because of my vested interest in the school. I've also followed the recent depositions as they've come, to some extent, as it's pretty exhausting to wade through. I was hard pressed to find anything specific that implicates him with "covering up gang rape." Everyone just repeats the click bait headlines. I think some of the narrative is starting to change as more comes out. For example, Clay Travis just recently interviewed and publicly backed the narrative of Briles (which matches Ian's), who was probably even more toxic than McCaw. Not saying that proves anything, but he was originally critical of Briles, so I found it interesting.
