I really hate that Louisiana lost

I’m no way do I believe we are the 12th best team in the Nation. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Blazers. But I think the guy that has us 12th is a bit off base. Until we start beating the P5 schools we play, I don’t see us being ranked that high.

I think that’s the guy only ranking teams that have actually played a game. Of course, the info has changed...I guess he wasn’t putting too much into research.

Me too. I was hoping for a chance to knock off a Top 25 team plus now they won't come in overconfident, just pissed off.

Exactly. It'll be a tough game. We have a chance to crack the top 25 if we win though.

You are correct, he is only ranking teams that have played (3 of the 4 voters ranking us are). Other "extreme" picks on his ballot include:

5. BYU
7. SMU
14. Marshall
18. Liberty
22. Tulsa
24. Kentucky
25. Army

BYU at 5 and Liberty at 18? He might need his ability to vote removed

I don't think BYU at 5 is that extreme. Against teams with a combined record of 13-9, they've outscored their opponents 218-70. Go through the rankings and try to find 7 or 8 teams who've looked better than them. Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, maybe Notre Dame, maybe Florida. They're better than any team in the Big XII. I think they're solidly worthy of top 10 right now.

UAB gets no votes in the Coaches or AP poll. We'll have to win out and win the CUSA title game to start picking up votes again.

Coastal Carolina is growing up so fast
