Damn these games are getting long.
These days you can watch the replay directly on your tv, connect your laptop to your tv with an HDMI cable, or connect your phone to your tv with Chromecast. So many options.
I have a friend that collected movies for years and years. Within 5 years his thousands of movies that were the around 700MB; the equivalent of 480P became obsolete. I have a 12TB hard drive with a million songs on it. I still love collecting and physically having the music, but most of the time I listen on Spotify.

Me too. Got home & watched it to that point & then saw I could re-record it on Monday night.
But that version is condensed & cuts out a lot of positive plays worth watching.

Suggestions for best way to setup an outdoor tailgate tv, out of range of wifi?
I have Chromecast, FireStick, and can do hot spots via mobile phone. I also have DirectTv with the Sports Package, and can get it on my phone. But I can't get Direct to broadcast to a tv, using a remote device.

And I don't want to mess with local antennas.
Firestick has a DirectTv app...
I would think it would work the same as the app on your phone but don't know for sure. Connect FireTv to hostspot and let her rip.

I would say for sure Chromecast with a mobile hotspot, BUT beware, it will use up a lot of bandwidth. If you have a laptop, you can trick your laptop into thinking that your phone's wifi is a wifi connection to use Chromecast. Your laptop will search for a signal and find your phone. You have to set up your mobile hotspot with a different name for your connection.
For a more simple solution, you can't get DirecTV to work with Chromecast? You should also be able to get an adapter to connect your phone to the HDMI port in your tv, in which case you don't need any of it.

If it is in range of 4G I would use a fire stick on a mobile hot spot. We have watched tiger football on a projector in the back 40 with a bunch of people and a fire this way. Picture quality isn’t as good as a dish receiver, but is good enough.
The other option as mentioned is a cable for your phone to hook to hdmi. I’ve got an Apple lightning to hdmi converter, then an hdmi cable I use for this.
Depending on 4G is fine when there isn’t a lot of other demand around, but it isn’t going to work in say the liberty bowl parking lot where carrier spectrum is quickly consumed. Right now the only options there are an antenna, or a portable dish like the dish tailgater. 5G may change that if they put 5g on every light pole in the parking lot.

How far out of range of Wifi are you?
It's theoretical right now.
I've tailgated on my patio and driveway with no issues - using wifi.
I've been unable to broadcast at Tiger lane.
This weekend, I'll be over around Pickwick outdoors with no wifi around.
I'll try the Firestick - just got it recently. I'll also try to get a cable.
Thanks
