I just sent...
...an email to the athletic director & head coach at TROY expressing my dismay. Coach Neil Brown & coach Larry Blakeney made TROY football something that all Trojans could be proud of. Chip & his staff are ruining all of that hard work that went into making TROY relevant in the group of 5. I am a lifetime member of the TROY alumni Association. I donate money to the school every single month and year. Coach Neal Brown left the recruiting cupboard full. What this guy is doing to the players confidence, the programs national credibility/brand, & the conference, in such a short period of time, is completely totally unacceptable.
Regardless if you are a TROY fan or not, having a strong program in the conference elevates the entire conference.

RE: I just sent...
I think we all just need to calm down a little bit! I came down to watch this game in person and it was pretty rough witnessing it first hand. FCS Schools surprise and sometimes even shock FBS schools every now and then. It happens! I don’t know if you remember or not but Neil Brown didn’t have much of a stellar first year while he was at Troy and Larry’s last couple years were abysmal! just give it a chance! i’m still somewhat optimistic that will turn this thing around. Eastern Kentucky reminds me of choice scrappy young years in FBS they are a decent program.
And with that being said we might have a different conversation on our hands if we can’t manage to go at least 500 this year! if we don’t go to a bowl game I think Ole coach chip is definitely going to be on the hot seat! With Covid this season I don’t see them making a move unless something absolutely cataclysmic happens!
In recap was it bad yes absolutely but it could’ve been worse with a “L”.

Marshall beat them 59-0 this year.

You know what, you are right! It does take time. But, we were 5-7 last year. We are looking at another 5-7 year this go around. EKU is not a quality program. And we only beat them by a last sec field goal? Remember when Coach Blakeney lost to Abilene Christian by three points? Remember those days? That’s what we are looking at again. Coach Brown did not pull a Jimbo Fisher here...leaving TROY with no talent. Neal left talent there. cHippy is just out of his league, he should not be a Div I head coach. cHippy is an offensive coordinator. He is out of his lane. The administration hired someone too quickly, without really looking. The program, the “brand” will pay the price

Troy is better than Larry's last few years, but not where Neal was by any stretch. The two teams that we demolished this season are a lot better than EKU. Next week vs GSU will tell us a lot.

Not only 59-0. Marshall also only allowed 166 yards of total offense, 80 passing and 86 yards rushing. Marshall scored on every possession and EKU only crossed the 50 yard line once.
And no EKU isn't that good. They don't have one player that could crack our 2 deep and their best player RB Alonzo Booth would be behind at least 4 of our RBs of Brenden Knox (Current CUSA POY), Sheldon Evans, Knowledge McDaniel and Lawrence Papillon.

I'd like to know how we totally demolish MTSU and Texas State, but barely beat EKU?
I can't help but think Troy wasn't focused for this game, and thought they would sleepwalk through it. It sure seemed that way. Having 130+ yards of penalties sort of shows that.

MTSU is 1-5 and Texas state has never played Troy well even in our worst year. Piss poor coaching is our issue. I’ve been disenfranchised with Troy since the very day chip was announced as coach at Troy. I’m afraid it will continue till we pull the plug. Troy will likely give Chip the Covid pass this season no matter how bad it gets.

Troy is 3-1 and our current recruiting class is pretty solid. I doubt Troy will make a coaching change.

We might be three and one, but the upcoming schedule for TROY is brutal. Two more wins possibly three and that’s about it

You guys need to learn to be as patient as stAte fans when it comes to your coaches.
