A GS fan would just march onto the field after the game and spit in the DC's face
(something that actually happened in real life)

I think what Mandalorian did was very appropriate by comparison 04-cheers

I donate money to the school every single month and year. Coach Neal Brown left the recruiting cupboard full. What this guy is doing to the players confidence, the programs national credibility/brand, & the conference, in such a short period of time, is completely totally unacceptable.

Regardless if you are a TROY fan or not, having a strong program in the conference elevates the entire conference.

While he probably deleted from the subject line and was probably useless, being able to see past a fool's gold record against horrible teams and not accepting mediocre BS is fine with me. Your fanatics who are burying their heads in the sand about the actual teams you have played sound just like ours. I will say you are not on year three of mediocre yet so give it another year or two. At least your recruiting is headed way up the last two years and not tanking like ours.

You have been 4,2,2,3 (for now) the last four years we have been 2,6,6, 8 (for now)

At least it will not be a talent issue and just coaching.

That's what I'm trying to say. Chip Lindsey is bringing in better recruiting classes than even Neal Brown did.

But if he doesn't win, he obviously needs to go, no matter how good his recruiting is.

The funny thing is, Troy is 3-1, with their only loss to a fantastic BYU who has destroyed everyone in their path... and everyone still wants Chip Lindsey's head.

Troy fans need to see how the next three games go against Georgia State, Arkansas State, and Georgia Southern. If we happen to be 6-1 or 5-2 after those games, then what do we think of Chip Lindsey then? If we go 0-3 or 1-2 against those teams, then it does become fair to start calling for changes.

Just be patient and see how the season goes. So far... so good... even if there was a rough win against EKU.

BYU also had some key players out that game, primarily two of their best defensive players that they've had all year. Plus a starting OL and a starting TE. BYU already had a 2 TD lead on UTSA with under 2 minutes left.

BYU running over Houston the way they did proves my point.

With that level of recruiting I would ride out another season regardless of what happens this season. It is just not being tops in the Belt is nationally decent as well.

It used to be being #1 or last in the Belt did not mean much as teams were still all clumped together at the bottom-most years. Now you see 40+/- spots difference nationally from top to bottom. That is a significant gap one even great coaching will find hard to overcome. I cant remember if it was last year or 2018 but based on 24/7's roster rank IIRC no team in the FBS with a roster ranked in the bottom half of their conference won the conference title much less won the division. Maybe one but one out of 10 FBS conferences tells you if your coach can recruit let it ride out maybe a year or two. He can find new OC's and DC's and maybe fix it.

It was closer than most expected, but BYU already had a 2 TD lead in that game with under 2 minutes left. BYU is still great, nevertheless. They're maiming of Houston proves that.

What I wouldn't give to be 3-1 and eek out a FCS win. TXST has averaged like 2 wins a year for 5-6 years. I know our fans expect high levels of success and our school doesn't seem to care. Y'all are fine. Sometimes you need a game like that to remind the team to take nothing for granted.
