‘Peanuts’ TV specials will no longer broadcast on air.
HOUSTON – Good grief, Charlie Brown!

After 54 years on the air, the beloved ‘Peanuts’ specials we grew to adore will not air on TV this year, CNN reported.

Holiday specials such as ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown', and ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas Special’ plus other ‘Peanuts’ content including Season 2 of ‘Snoopy in Space’ will stream exclusively on Apple TV+, making the streaming service the “home for all things Peanuts."

This is a slight old man rant, but these dang kids with their new fangled ways to watch talkies is ruining this country.

More seriously though, the way content is broken apart and spread over so many different formats destroys “common experience” in entertainment and is just another thing that divides us (by eliminating something that used to unite us).

Yep, there are so many different streaming providers with content specific shows that, IMO, it's just too much and easier to stick with cable. Also, if I were to sign up for each streaming service the price would be damn near the same as cable.

For me it's about not putting up with the crappy cable company, but you are right I don't save any money by doing so.

They are beloved favs for me. Sad that they will not be broadcast anymore.

I been expecting it though, the Godless prog filth hate the way the thanksgiving special celebrates our country and the Christmas special points too much to Jesus. The Halloween special just gets swept up in the wake.

I own them digitally and the TG episode on Blu Ray. I'll be fine.

When Charles Schultz sold his characters to Met Life to hawk insurance, they became much less loveable. But the old TV shows were classics. Our personal copies are now so much more valuable to us.

That's why the Super Bowl should be a holiday. Its the last thing we all, more or less, watch together

Walmart from now until February. They are pricey, but get a little cheaper after new years. It's taken me a while but I have all the classics now.

Rudolph, Frosty, All the Peanuts specials, the original Grinch, Muppets, etc.

While Apple TV+ is nice, this kind of exclusive content is where the Peanuts brand dies. The young generation does not have daily comic strips in newspapers and will not have a connection with Peanuts. -Just us old people will know these characters. Good grief. 04-cheers

It will be interesting if more people watch in the 2 to 3 day window its free versus the one time ABC broadcast.

Honestly I think most people would rather watch it on demand.

The collective experience that banker mentioned will no longer occur
