I'm unable to read the article. Does it say he opted out for safety and will be back next season or is he done with football?

Explains why he isn't on the roster nor the transfer portal. Far as I'm concerned thats just more valuable reps for Collins and Ducker.

The team is going to move on without him. Collins, Ducker, Gregory will have passed him on the depth chart. He won't get much, if any, playing time after not having played a game in nearly 2 years.

You never know what will happen in the future. He still has 2 years of eligibility left if he wants to use them. With their roster at the position I could easily see Travis going back to WR after this abbreviated season, and Waylee making that move as well wouldn't be shocking. If that were to happen it would be this years top 3 of Collins, Gregory and Ducker followed by some walk ons. So even if he was a little left behind he would still be just one injury away from having a role in the backfield.
