Those are mostly meaningless national polls. And Clinton got more votes than trump in the GE, so a national poll showing her ahead would have been accurate.

And if you think team trump does not do internally polling you're nuts. Their internal polls in 2016 reportedly showed them losing as well. I'm sure it's no different this year, and likely worse. You can follow where they're spending their money as a good indicator of what polls are telling them.

But everything I read from any liberals about polls all mention 2016, so nobody is putting their houses on them this time around.

If so it’s only because many of those in 2016 were so terribly wrong. If he believed those then I’m not sure why he bothered campaigning the last month....Clinton was going to top 400 EVs and he had literally no path to victory.
