Navy postgame: Emotional Mike Houston after the game
We have the right coach. I wouldn’t be surprised if we beat Tulsa. Even though Tulsa beat UCF, and nearly best Oklahoma St.

I thought it was a great effort yesterday. They didn’t fold after they got down. They hung in there down the stretch and had a chance to win this one. Much better looking team than the Mo years and they’re all young.
Future is bright for the Pirates.

I liked Mason, but do believe we could have pulled that game out with the more experienced HA calling the plays. Mason throws a real nice ball, and has scrambling ability, but he looked very tentative in the pocket and just didn't make the throws when needed. In time, it will all come together for him.

Yeah it sounds like Holton was a false positive. I definitely think the outcome would’ve been different if he had been behind center. Not to take anything away from Mason. He played well considering it was his first start.
He did seem a little tentative at times. Think he just needs to get adjusted to the speed of college football compared to high school and he will be fine.
But yeah I agree with you. Also, that 4th down was a little sketchy. Think they gave Navy an extra foot or so.
