Louisville .......................... 7

Final

Talk about a low energy schlepp of a "win". This is the Louisville team that gave up *46* to a putrid Georgia Tech team just last week. And they think they are ready for Clemson?

The Irish really miss that Chase Claypool, who is looking like a big steal for the Steelers in the 2nd round of last year's draft right now. He was a big deep threat who stretched defenses. This year ND has nobody like that so the passing game is cramped, pinched, and unproductive. It also means scrambling lanes for book to run through are more congested as well.

Agreed. The Irish passing game was dog **** today and hasn't been great all season.

Book has regressed from last year (3045 passing yards, 34 TD's 6 Ints) and they do miss Claypool (who will be a star with the Steelers).

(It doesn't help that Irish transfer QB Phil Jurkovec is lighting it up for Boston College)

ND not only misses Claypool, but they lost their top three receivers from last year and the replacements have not stepped up.

The running game was good again today (232 yards) but they must get a lot better in the passing game.

ND's defense was stout today and has been so all year.

(Hell no, nobody thinks that they can hang with Clemson. Who can?)

Some team(s) other than Clemson will beat ND unless Book and the receivers get better.

(Injuries to Kevin Austin, Braden Lenzy and Brent Skowronek have limited their effectiveness, but the receivers as a whole have largely underwhelmed)

On the other hand, ND is now 4-0, won an FBS leading tenth game in a row, won its 22nd straight game at home and is 27-3 in its last 30 games.

(37-6 since 2016)

An ugly win, a ****** performance but hey, I'll take the W.

Arkansas with its first home SEC win since Bielema in 2016. They made a gutsy call hiring that OL coach.

Arkansas is clearly better. How much better we shall see. Them and Kentucky.

One minute left - too much time, UCF has 750 yards of offense. Memphis has 700.

Believe it or not, at SC they pipe the sounds of a rooster cocka-doodle-doing through the PA system. That's supposed to be intimidating, I guess.

It pisses off opposing fans, which is the primary purpose

no, what pisses off opposing fans is the ridiculous amount of crowd noise you pipe in.

It is what it is my friend. I believe they keep the volume the same assuming every game is going to be a 10/10, so when the crowd is quiet it’s way too loud

I will say that when we are actually good and the crowd is loud it’s the best atmosphere around. But that’s very rare.

If anything, that should have been offensive PI against Alabama. Refs gave Alabama 4 points with that call.

Well the Noles are going to hang on to win. But Carolina looked like a football team in the second half. Two ugly halves, one by UNC and one by FSU.
