it does not matter what they do. the people who will complain the loudest about the issues caused by increasing roster size are the same people who would cry foul if they did not increase it.

For those of us who might not know what "Winter sports" may cover, how many full &/or partial scholarships are colleges being asked to add to their existing list for incoming HS athletes this fall and 2021? My grandson just enrolled as a partial (track & field out of Oak Mtn HS) scholarship athlete at Bama.

Basketball (M)
Basketball (W)
Bowling
Fencing
Gymnastics (M)
Gymnastics (W)
Ice Hockey (M)
Ice Hockey (W)
Rifle (M/W)
Skiing (M/W)
Swimming and Diving (M/W)
Indoor Track and Field (M/W)
Wrestling

Schools aren't being asked to cover a specific number of additional scholarships. It will be up to each individual school to decide how many of these extra years they are able to manage. A lot will depend on if the NCAA temporarily increases maximum roster sizes or not.
