Next CUSA plan: every conference member must designate a JV and Varsity roster. Saturday double-headers - JV then Varsity. All games count in standings as usual.

Then they’ll squeeze women’s games between the men’s JV and varsity.

I was going to point out the common refrain of “but, but, the casual fans” then I remembered we’re capping attendance so it’s gonna be all diehards anyway.

Hell, if Biden wins college sports may not make it to the end of January, with no spring sports at all, due to another lockdown*

*That’s not a political argument on whether we need a lockdown or not so please no pissing contest. He’s just the one candidate that has expressed support for another round.

We're switching to co-ed basketball. It'll be like intramurals. Shuffle the men's and women's together to end up with two teams with a mixture of men and women. Team A plays, followed by team B after a brief intermission. Must have at least 2 women on the floor at all times.

RE: CUSA BB Scheduling Info
I think there are only two viable options here-

1) Teams stay at their home arena, and play HORSE against each other via Zoom, which the fans watch on the video board (or from home if they so choose), or

2) Teams still at their home arenas, fans watching on the video board as they play each other online in NBA 2K21.

If this were last year, we might have done better. 03-lmfao

The new model announced Thursday will have teams play back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday, instead of Thursday and Saturday as originally decided. C-USA also implemented a requirement of at least 21 hours in between tipoffs to provide appropriate rest periods.

Jeff Goodman@GoodmanHoops

A dozen one-bid leagues have gone with the SMART approach of playing back-to-back days against same team at the same site:

America East
ASUN
Big Sky (same weekend)
Big South
Big West
CAA
C-USA
Horizon
MAAC
NEC (hasn’t announced yet)
Summit
Sun Belt
WAC

The one-bid leagues that have not gone with the back-to-back days against same team approach schedule:
MAC
MEAC
Missouri Valley
Ohio Valley
SoCon
Southland
SWAC
