I always have been and always will be a Cards fan but Joe was one of my childhood heroes. Loved the elbow pump. He was money in the bank in clutch situations.

I did the elbow pump occasionally in Little League. I too was a Cards fan, but I played with a few Cincy migrants, and we tried to emulate the infield of Rose, Concepcion, Morgan, and Perez.

I never cared for Morgan as an announcer. But I saw him speak once at a meeting, and he did a great job. I have an autographed ball from that meeting.
