Ever year NC State has a WTF game against an inferior opponent from inside the state of NC. That opponent can be WF, ECU, UNC, or Duke. What usually happens is that State starts slow and puts itself in a position of needing to play a perfect 4th quarter to win. This could be that game.

Going back 15 years:

WTF to WF in 2005, 2006, 2011, 2013, 2017, 2018
WTF to ECU in 2008, 2010, 2016
WTF to UNC in 2012
WTF to Duke in 2009

Ha! If you want to win the Pick'em you should just pick the opposite of what I pick as I have wreaked this season. By doing so somebody would be easily hitting just above 60%!

I warned you about State and Duke. WTF all the first half for State, but then control until we lost Leary. People forget how many starters we lost last year to injury and ended up playing a bunch of scrubs the last 5 games.

This is not going the way I planned. All I can hope for now is that I not become the first player to go winless. I see a walk of shame in my future.

Last week I got them all right, this week I got them all wrong, LOL.

That's why I don't bet on football.

04-cheers

RE: 2020 Pickem Contest Week 7
Congratulations to this week's winner, JRsec, who edged out TyBull by correctly picking Alabama in the tiebreak game. Both finished with a record of 6-4. Alone in third place at 5-5 was schmolik. Sadly, the rest of us didn't fare so well, bringing our collective win% as a group to 34% this week.

In the season race, our Top Five have begun to separate themselves from the pack, though as we have seen, that can change in a hurry. Our leaders are:

.559 IWokeUpThisWay
.542 quo vadis
.492 panite
.492 Shannon Panther
.475 zibby

I'm sure that most of us would have correctly picked the winners of the 3 games that were postponed, and thus improve our average. But fate took that out of our hands. Next week, I plan to add provisional picks, to be used only to replace any games that are cancelled or postponed. Be sure to make selections for these games as well as the original 13 on the card. I'll explain how it will work when I post next week's slate of games later today.
