USM looks like team that just came off the death penalty and is playing with NAIA players. I doubt that USM has 5 players that could be put in Marshall's starting line up.

We have a load of 2/3 star juco players, not NAIA - get it right.

The West is deeper.

However, there's no one in the conference like Marshall.

Since CUSA 3.0 started in 2014, the East division is 5-1 as the champion. I don't think that's changing this year.

There’s no certainty in 2020. You never know which week you’ll be missing key players due to Covid.

This is a very deep Marshall team.

We're playing very focused, very hungry with a big chip on our shoulder. I think this team is out to prove something this year.

A lot of ball left to be played, but I am cautiously optimistic.

Same. Admittedly, I did not see this coming at all. I thought we would be competitive, kind of play in that middle of the pack range, but this team looks so strong and consistent.

Then when you think about it, it makes sense. Probably top 10 O-line in the country, a defense that's flying to the ball, and a running game that can't be stopped. I think this team can go places.

Still a ways to go, but you'd have to put Marshall really at the forefront of this conference right now.

Maybe they should be NAIA players then. Cause every last player that Ive seen from USM has sucked like crazy the last 2-3 years.

We've got to get that open date November 7th game worked out with UAB.

Time is ticking...

I remember not too long ago on these boards...

The WKU fans used to be quite chippy, where have they all gone?

I am with you. Marshall seems to be riding high too. It isn’t far fetched we could meet in a C-USA CG.

Agreed. This is why we'll need to schedule that open date November 7th game, because both of our programs are on that perilous line. If we have any more postponements, both of our programs would be deemed ineligible. Wouldn't that be something?

That's why we'll need to get together and schedule a game on November 7th.

Marshall has La Tech this week, another big measuring stick.

Obviously they all moved to West Virginia and became Marshall fans.

Marshall opens in Vegas as a 13 point favorite. Right now, I think its still about a touchdown too low.

There's a difference between being chippy and being confident. Marshall fans are just confident, considering how well we played this year, do you blame us? This team is just playing on another level right now. It's pretty awesome to see.

Marshall fans are not out there trying to start fights, we are just very confident in this team.

I'm glad we get to finally play La Tech. Long time man.
