Because we beat Kansas State...that's why.

Anderson is currently blaming the Coastal loss on Covid, saying that many of our players were still experiencing fatigue and weren't ready for 60 minutes of football.

We are also claiming that many of those concerns are gone this week, so we'll see. I think there are 4 or 5 players on our roster who were on the team in 2016 that lost to these guys. We'll see.

Personally, I just hope my tickets are up high enough that I'm under the overhang and don't end up soaked.

Weather update: 68 degrees, raining with strong gusty winds. Sustained wind at 12 MPH, expecting gusts of up to 40 MPH. The football will be slick and heavy today.

You know...I always liked rain games....you find out who the really commited idiots are. Having said that I will be there.

Oh looks like ya'll are getting some of the weather we dealt with on a regular basis last year. Glad to see our luck rubbed off on someone else.

It's a sloppy rainy mess... neither offense can really get going. That said, we're also managing to shoot ourselves in the foot as we go.

Looks like the rain is really affecting the plays. Everyone seems to be running at half speed.

23-13 at half. Offense gave up 7 free points with a fumble inside our own 20. But scored twice and a pick 6 covered it up a little

We won. We should have won. So no change in my opinion at this point. Glad we won and in a convincing fashion. Because with the piglets resurgence living in this state with a second loss would have been unbearable.

Final was 50-27. Big enough of a win that the people who didn't watch will think its a respectable result on our end. The reality is we blew it open and then got into a soft defensive shell that I hate and they scored a couple TD's to make it closer than it was.

6 TD passes between our two QB's today.

Convincing win against a solid team. If UCA was ever in a position to move up, they could easily transition and compete in the SBC.

Still up in the air as to how good this team will turn out to be. 2-2 based on the 4 opponents and the circumstances is actually pretty good. Memphis was better, Coastal was BETTER. I heard from a pretty good source that Covid really did cause a huge problems and challenges trying to prepare and get back to square before the Coastal game, but they are still very good.

Thursday night is a huge game and could be a turning point in the season.

UCA is not a good team this year.

I'm not sure I'd say that directly. Its hard to quantify whether UCA is as good or bad as previous years because they are not playing a conference schedule. They are playing three FBS School and played at North Dakota State.

Without any Southland opponents on the schedule, its really hard to judge how good they would be. Likewise, they've played 5 games, won the two everyone thought they had the best chance to win, and lost the three that few thought they'd win.

Given their remaining schedule, they may not lose again until they play UL in November.
