My take on Vanderbilt ... help us. I feel badly for Mason and the program. It's never a "great time" to be a Commodore football fan but this year is going to be particularly brutal. A winless season likely looms.

On a different note, the Texas vs. Oklahoma OTs were exciting.

..... or maybe the Kiffin Ole Miss offense is pretty good?

Either way, it's 21-21 at the half and has been a pretty even game, though Alabama was screwed by that fumble call at the goal line. The Alabama runner's progress had clearly stopped when he was stripped.

Eh, Bama's D has been suspect since Kirby took the Georgia job. We're witnessing the beginning of the end of the Saban era of college football. The king is dead, long live the king.

Saban looks like he's near the end of the line. He was complaining and complaining about an obvious call. It was the type of thing that gets a T in the NBA (of course they are way too quick with technicals).

I don't think he'll be the type to let himself slip away into mediocrity. He'll want to go out while his teams are still winning. I think he's got maybe one more recruiting cycle. Of course Bama won't be going anywhere, they'll simply just replace Saban with Dabo and call it a day.
