Should Mamoudou Diarra Shoot More 3-Pointers Next Season?
He was 5 for 7 last season and is 7 for 11 for his career. I say let it fly, big man. Would love to see him attempt at least 20 or 30 next year.

When Mick was still here, he did an interview with Dan Hoard after practice, and Dou was just raining threes in the background. I truly believe he’s a good outside shooter. Obviously he’s not going to shoot 71% with volume, but he can shoot it at least as good as Tre Scott, Gary Clark, and Kyle Washington — maybe even better.

Sounds like a great idea. He appears to have good mechanics on his shot. But what do I know I’m not a college coach. Heck most of the time I couldn’t figure out what offense Cronins teams were running....oh wait

I think you shoot it when you get it in the flow of the offense. We don’t need him to be Jarron Cumberland or Steve Logan back there. But so far he has been droppin’ it in I would give him the green light until he shows he can’t do it.

Do not as a former IN Mr. Basketball guard at UC (not O) told me "I cannot watch what he calls offense".

As long as we can put him in positions to take open shots and spread the defense, go for it. Gary Clark was 27-62 (43.5%) in his senior season from 3-point range, Dou will get enough minutes to put up half the attempts at hopefully a similar clip.

Why not?

It'll also give him a chance to prove he can achieve at the next level. He's a pretty good defensive player, but not good enough now to play in top European leagues on that strength alone. But a 6'9" "3 and D" guy is in high demand everywhere.
