Louisville-GT playing in the rain.

21-14 Louisville at the half.

Announcers doing as little talking about the game as possible.

RE: Open Thread - 2020 Football - Week 5
Louisville looks like they're playing better so far. I think GT will need to go at least +1 in the turnover ratio in the second half to have a chance to win.

Nice to have an ACC game on Friday night.

I didn't notice the announcers doing a bad job. Seemed to be about normal.

Cunningham for Louisville is pretty good. But that true freshman for GT is going to be a star. Very impressed with that young man. I was impressed with him when they played SU as well.

I didn't know there was a game today and I was even on campus at the bookstore shopping. Maybe I should keep not watching.... Also I need a vacation.

GT wins! The future looks bright. In the next year or 2 they will be really good.

GT finishes on a 39-6 run.

I'm eating a lot of words tonight. I'm okay with it.

Best offensive showing under this coaching staff by far.

I haven't decided yet how much to credit GT offense and how much to blame the UL defense...

Wait... you didn't know your own team was playing? Consider your fan card revoked!

Question from a VT centric board.

Is Fuente the only coach that doesn't run up the score when they have a chance?

Against NCSU, VT kneeled down on the NCSU 1 yard line to run out the clock. GT ran it into the end zone to win by 19.

The GT offense has struggled to find a score starting with 3, let alone 4, since dumping the option. I think GT just wanted as many reps as possible in game time not running the option.

Actually Georgia Tech was going to kneel the ball, and HC Satterfield called a Timeout so GT ran teh ball and was going to kick a FG, just happens that Louisville defense was tired and we popped a TD... However known of that happens if the Louisville coach doesn't call a Time out with 28 points...

Offensively, Burmeister isn't passing any better than he did last week. He threw behind an open receiver on 3rd & 7, and he threw into quadruple(!) coverage on his last possession. He thing he's done so far: punt.

Defensively, the Hokies haven't stopped either the run or the pass yet, and their best DB who isn't out due to COVID was just disqualified on a bang-bang targeting call.

BTW, it's now 21-0 UNC.

End of first quarter, and the Tar Heels completed 80% of their passes and rushed for 9.2 yards per carry. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

At least NC State is up 2 TDs on UVA...

What has Pitt done to the refs for them to screw us like this? 2 takeaways reversed and a BS roughing the passer call.

I wish the ACC would get serious about requiring coaches to wear masks. So may are setting bad examples.

I told you if Leary had started the game at VT things likely would have been different. Maybe not, but State is night and day with him.
