This is 2020. People will vote against their own self interests in theatre shamed enough to do so. The BookFace told them so.

Not to be the board skeptic here, but there appears to be a very relevant hole in that information...2016 was 4 years ago, right? I don’t know if that changes the main point of the poll, but it’s very strange that it was left out, one way or the other.

Look closer. It’s polls for an incumbent President only.

He's right.

The bigger puzzle is why he has no conception of who is responsible for making this election such a nail-biter. Mirrors must not exist in Donaldland.

Crazy to think the numbers in '84 were so low given how that election ended up.

That number had to be sh*t. Under Carter there was stagflation and a gas shortage, yet I'm to believe 56% of the people had it better then than after 4 years of Reagan.

Late 70’s and early 80’s were the halcyon days of lining up to sleep out overnight when a bank announced it would have discounted 30 year mortgages with a 15% interest rate.

Yeah, agreed...seems like that the turd in the punchbowl in that data set. With how terrible the economy was in the late 70s into 81-82, that number should be way higher, especially with how big of a landslide the sitting president won with.
