Coach Mark Foster has developed a strong connection with Scandanavia, with four Swedish and three Icelandic players on the soccer roster. Anyone know how that tie came about?

This is speculation but I know when my son played college soccer that most of the foreign kids came by way of a “broker” that they would have find them options to play in the USA. If the person steered good talent to a coach they gained credibility and would take more players that broker recommended to the coach. My sons team had a ton of Chileans and even a player that became a good friend from Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean off of the African island of Madigascar. I have a jacket from Reunion Island he gave me that I proudly proclaim is the only one of its kind in Russellville! I would assume that the Trojans coach has made a contact that is sending him the talent and type of player he is looking for that is in the Scandinavian region. The male Swedish players my son played against were very tough physical players so I would imagine that would hold true for the female players as well.
