Skyline in Nashville closed decades ago. It was a sad day because I acquired a taste for it from my Cincy raised wife.

you should try the other "local" chili here in cincy. it makes skyline taste like fine dining. its called gold star. it has a load of, i think, cinnamon in it - very weird taste

This is so true. Some of my earliest childhood memories involve eating Cincinnati-style chili (for my family, it was usually either homemade or Gold Star) at the dinner table.

The last time I was in NY on business, we ate pizza in the Bronx for lunch. Their slogan was "we proudly include Gluten in our pizza."

Steamed bun, delicious chili, freshly grated cheese, hard not to like such a product.

I've always said, I think they screwed up by calling it chili. It upsets people. I think if they would have called it something else, there wouldn't be so much backlash from outsiders.

I like Skyline and Gold Star. Gold Star also has a decent Greek Salad.
