That's chump change compared to what we paid the guy with wind machine on the kick.

Doesn't the 2020 nectar just get sweeter. Now we're out our main WR Demonte Coxie on top of our key RB Kenneth Gainwell.

Shitter's Full!

True, but we are finding new talent on this team. The new freshman receiver Javon Ivory is going to be outstanding.

He looks better than Coxie.

Yep, and he’s just a freshman. I guess Silverfield was planning on redshirting him this year. I would never redshirt a player with that much talent.

He was already redshirted. He's a redshirt freshman.

Shere talking out of his ass again...shocker.

Didn't get to watch the game (following gamecast while camping in the woods), but perhaps it's better that I didn't. Hard to stomach gaining 800 yards of offense and losing. Especially on a very makeable field goal. Back to back games where multiple-score leads vanish in the second half. Hard to tell if this is just a return to the mean after the last three years or a sign of things to come. One thing is certain, the team doesn't have the mentality that 2017 and 2018 had. Five losses in two years by a total of 16 points. Unreal.

Well done by the Tigers, finally got the monkey off their backs. Gutsy game coming back as many times as ya'll did. These have been some excellent games, looking forward to a rematch next year.

Do you guys think your coach will change his approach on offense? Running a two minute offense for 60 minutes has got to be taking it's toll on your defense. They get off the field and they're back on it like a minute later. I think he needs to slow it down a little to give your D a rest. Just sayin.

Time will tell, but our recruiting is much better than days past. People apparently think we’re gonna fall off the face of the planet if we lose a player or 2. The new WRs look good and our running backs will be more than adequate. We might actually be better without Coxie b/c White will spread the ball around more.

QB is a big deal, but we’ve hit the last 3 out of the park and Parrish seems like a baller too.

I thought the refs were equally ******. They missed or elected not to call obvious PIs on both teams. I've tried to forget the rest of the game, but I'm sure there's missed holding on both teams as well, though that's true in most every game now it seems.

No, the defense needs to grow a pair. They basically didn't make a single play. Gave up 5 of 5 on 4th down and 700 yards. All they needed was to stop a single 4th down play and the game ends differently. There's simply a lack of talent on the D-line, especially at tackle. The CBs are young because both starters opted out, so that is what it is. But basically they need to man up and make some plays.

And the defensive scheme is ****** IMO. I did not like Randy Shannon transitioning from Frost's 3-4 back to a 4-3, though what he really runs is a Nickel with the 3rd corner replacing a linebacker. That doesn't help the DL contain the run, and it leaves two slow LBs vulnerable in pass protection. We need to go back to a 3-4 where we can blitz off the edges more aggressively, or we need to go to a true 4-2-5 or 3-3-5 where you have more coverage schemes and better run blitzing options with two Strong Safeties playing closer to the line. We are running the worst scheme possible for our team.

And beyond the base defense, Randy runs a press coverage Nickel, and we don't have the CBs now to do that with the opt outs. It's an aggressive approach that works when your DL can get pressure without blitzes and you have big corners who can push WRs off routes. We don't have either at the moment, so he either needs to back off and go into Cover 2 like GOL did with his bend, don't break defense, or he needs to go balls to the wall like Frost did with his 3-4 trying to aggressively get sacks & turnovers while using pressure to force bad passes. He's in an uncomfortable middle without the players to execute it. He thinks he's got Miami-Dade 4* guys across the defense, and he doesn't (because he's lost his recruiting touch).

As to Heupel, my opinion is that the offense should never, ever try to run clock. We're horrible at it. We have failed repeatedly to run clock against anyone including an awful Georgia Tech defense and East Carolina. He needs to keep the pedal to the metal and bury people by scoring. If he wants to look sportsmanlike while running up the score, he can put the backups in on offense. But frankly I don't care.

While many things lost UCF this game, Heupel trying to run clock with 3 minutes to go up less than 7 was a big one. He should have gone back into tempo and simply scored again. Memphis couldn't catch us if we just kept scoring. And if we had screwed up and gone 3-and-out, guess what? Same result as the failed attempt to run clock. We do not have the OL or the power running game to run clock against any defense with even a minor bit of talent.
