Young was one of the 6-7 I had heard were being retained. Is there something new? Or is Flagship thinking of someone else?

Wait. Jordan Young? What did I miss? I thought he was gone.

That tweet was dated 10/8. When did we learn Young was gone?

I believe he entered the transfer portal but looks like he is staying now.

That would surprise me, but never say never.

I believe we will be better with this coach and staff. However, we had “feel good” coverage about how good we looked in past seasons. So I’m taking this all with a huge grain of salt.

Man, it drives me nuts to see teams that moved up to FBS after us in the top 25. Both Coastal and Liberty are in the top 25 this week. Sun Belt especially is really taking advantage of the opportunities for G5s this season.

Not to mention how some other P5s and G5’s who have been FBS forever must feel. UNC must be feeling pretty crappy right now.

I may actually root for VT this week just so LU doesnt grab too much momentum and pull away from us. And I almost never root for P5s.

LU's momentum will be shot after Hugh Freeze gets hired away this offseason.

Yep. That will be us too after two or three good seasons under Rahne. One caveat, Liberty could pay Freeze $5 million to stay. Pocket change for them.

Guys, there’s already a Liberty thread. Please keep it in there so I don’t have to split and merge the two LU discussions.

Medical retirements, opt-outs, and injuries, oh my.

Related/unrelated: the OL is going to be an issue.

Don't let all this distract you from the fact that D.Wilder will be a 7th year senior next season. 07-coffee3

I know ODU doesn't play them until 2024, but South Carolina just fired Will Muschamp.
