The whole point is that he cried about it - for like 30 straight minutes.

I don't know a single person that calls this the "Deeper Than Hate" game. Its cringe and gimmicky.

Also, can we not allow random bloggers to name games they are unaffiliated with? k thanks

Since "The Battle for the Golden Paddle" (a reference to both schools starting out as teacher's colleges) is too politically incorrect to go, I give you, the "Golden Apple Trophy". 04-rock

It was pretty cold last year in October. I recall it snowing.

Worked out pretty good for us.

11/21: at Coastal
11/28: Troy
12/4 or 12/5: Louisiana
12/11 or 12/12: Georgia Southern
12/19: SBC Title Game

Definitely a plus for us from the standpoint of our team becoming more acclimated to the new staff and younger players getting game reps.

Could certainly see the first Saturday Georgia Southern game since 2013. Would be a shame if it got moved and it goes to a Friday.

Friday > Wednesday. But Saturday would be best.

Kinda hope it gets moved so we could possibly have it on Saturday. Of course, not at the expense of anyone else becoming sick.

RE: Game Thread: Appalachian State @ Georgia Southern
That might happen. There's a call tomorrow at 1pm to possibly postpone this game. If it does, I hope it gets played soon. I'm biased, but this rivalry is one of the most fun, underrated rivalries out there. The commentary thread for this game alone is worth it.

One thing about it, if the game is played on its scheduled date, App is not going to have very much full team organized practice before it happens.

That's why I think there's a 95% chance it gets cancelled.

I think we have reached the “what’s the point” part of our show, even if we make it to Statesboro, the team isn’t going to be ready to play at a normal level, not sandbagging, just being honest, take GS to win.

Don't believe that is sandbagging at all... you'd be hard pressed to find any team that can perform in these circumstances.

Take care of your boys and let's find another day to do this.

You can tell Georgia State won a game recently because Panama has come out of hiding and has the most posts in the Georgia Southern App St game thread.

Anyway, see y'all in Dec. This game ain't gonna happen.

GS has been a couple TDs worse than App the last two years and won both contests. I've seen it happen App's way in the past as well. It would only be fitting if half of App's team showed up and beat GS this year.

Through the years there is no other series that makes less sense who wins this game year in and year out.

I have no confidence in my eagles beating a Covid stricken, not prepared App team much less a full, healthy app squad. This eagle team has a long way to go.

I told a friend in August that whatever teams remained healthy and respected the bubble would end up winning conference and national championships. It's really going to come down to whomever makes it through the last five weeks of the season.
