I think a floor of like 7 wins exists just by having a veteran QB who is a winner.

By August 2021, nobody will remember a damn thing about the COVID season anyway. All of these records have an asterisk.

Tulane has 2 Hurricanes in 6 weeks. Combined with Covid, whatever, whenever, I'll take a game like a child with an ice-cream sandwich. The entire 2020 season's an asterisk for everyone.

The stickers have been great to get racists to self identify.

If you are calling me a racist be a man and do it. I can rebut and embarrass you badly.

It has exposed idiot sheep marxists.

“The use of the BLM logo on a helmet decal was an idea from our student-athletes," Silverfield said in a text message to The Commercial Appeal. "It doesn't mean we support any anti-American, violent organization or hate group or any specific political party. In fact, I love this country and I love our players. Rather the decal is a show of support to our team."

I support our athletes on and off the field, as does our coach. I’ve learned all I need to know about those of you who expect them to entertain you, but don’t consider them worthy to have their own opinions about our society.

Sure and the Confederate flag is heritage not hate and the swastika is an ancient hindu symbol for good luck.....

Yeah. The admin screwed the pooch on this one. Spare me the rationalizations. Ruin Silverfield didn't look before he leaped. If it just means we support our athletes them ditch it and replace with a proper symbol.

Spare me the players cant have opinions bologna too. Of course they do. Not one Memphis fan I know has disputed that point. I dont need to give you my bone fides.

I wont support them if they put a hammer and sickle on their helmet even if they tell me it stands for carpenters and farmers. Dont dare call anyone a racist for not supporting BLM incorporated into our symbols. That's a false statement and insulting and just a weak minded attempt at shaming and bullying.

Symbols mean things. Just because Silverfield says "well it doesnt really mean that" after the fact doesnt make it so.

I got no beef with you. I tolerate your opinion but I don't agree.

Didnt really mean anything bad. Heard it before

"Unranked and unappreciated, Florida played like irritated and dismissed Southerners -- and looked the part, also. The Gators took the field with Confederate flag emblems on their helmets as a not-so-subtle reminder to the Northerners that football, indeed, was played in this part of the country.

UF forced five Penn State turnovers and held the Nittany Lions’ vaunted offense to a mere 147 yards in a thoroughly decisive 17-7 upset before a Gator Bowl record-crowd of 50,286."

No decline. SMU and UCF are just the teams to beat this. We'll be back in contention in another 3-4 years

I respect your opinion, but do you guys really think the coach and his team are really marxists trying to promote marxism? Hell i bet 80% of college students couldn't tell you what Marxism means. Is it possible that when they say "Black Lives Matter" they just mean "Black lives Matter."

Did anybody notice that Alabama @ Ole Miss game the cardboard fake fans behind the endzone? It was like a childhood board game. Weird and creepy.

Which is why you don't know they use cardboard cutouts at almost every game to keep the stands from looking so empty. It's actually pretty cool.

The Braves played a series in a stadium without them, and the Braves manager said he missed them, lol.

I prefer tarps, like we use at LB for 3,000 seats. Much more professional. They look like carnival shooting targets, lol. My opinion is worth what you paid for it, lol.

From causing “racists to self identify” to “I respect your
Opinion,” to the players and coaches are ignorant of the fact that BLM is a self avowed Marist corporate entity with a primary focus on destroying the nuclear family and traditional family values and defunding the police. The simple truth is that all lives matter including the ones lost while protecting their communities. If racism is defined as judging someone by the color of their skin then “black lives matter” is a racist organization. Your feeble argument fails on its face and using ignorance as an excuse is a cop out.

MLB has tarps all over the outfield. Tarps don't make the empty stands any less empty looking, which is the purpose of the cutouts.

I just think the cutouts look weird and creepy. Tarp the entire stadium.

You want the Tigers to fail so you can seem justified while standing on your soap box. I don't agree with the stickers, but they are stickers on a football helmet. I bet you have vol stuff in your closet. This is not your team anymore, I suggest starting a trump flag collection. Use them as blankets so you feel all good and safe when you sleep.

How much you wanna bet?

BA, MA Univ of Memphis. Multi generational alum. Not a Tennesse native. Helped tear down the goalposts when we beat the Vols. Have a piece of it hanging on the wall. Have donated, tutored and prayed on the field with the Tigers.

Will not support them with BLM sticker. Cute comments about the flag, though unoriginal. If it's just a sticker then peel it off and replace it with Unity.

I am not alone in my sentiment.

I sleep very well at night. Try again.

Helmet sticker for next year.

I was at that game too. Soon as my buddy hit the ground Shelby Co Sheriff was on him so I didn't go on the field. He did get a piece of grass. Made him climb back up the wall. It was one of the best times in my life.

I didn't attend UofM, but several family member's are alumni. I grew up tailgating at Toby field and now my cousin has a spot on Tiger Lane.

Obviously you have been closer to the program than me, but sometimes you have to just read the room. I don't blame Silverfied or the University of allowing the players to use the stickers. BLM has evolved in a way that I don't think the stickers will be there next year. The players are just young and I think kinda ignorant to the facts, but in 2020 the players have way more power than ever. They want to be heard. If you go against them (because of social media) you will lose you job, the University will lose future recruits, and ESPN will trash you. This is the world we live in now like it or not. Do I agree with it? No I do not, but I will always love and support the Tigers.

I apologize for the vol comment, I just get a sense you want the Tigers to fail, and I can't comprehend that.

The goal post on your wall is great. I wish I could've made it on the field.
