Statesboro for example has been considered a hot spot in Georgia for some time while Georgia led the nation in new cases per capita for a couple months. Still a top hot spot here and folks are reacting to it. This is crazy!

I think UL and App had put some distance on everyone. App may have slid back a tad but still good. Looks like CCU has hit another gear. After those three seems to be a good gap then a log jam.

So Ga state takes UL to overtime then GS loses on the road to UL by a 53 yard hail Mary kick then GS almost loses to ULM the following week and my point is moot? CCU looking like the front runner further makes my point.

GaSt also just curbed stomped ECU. TXST is 1-3 and is probably much better than us. We lost to the only good team and got lucky against a horrible FCS and a very bad ULM. TXST beat down ULM adn has lost to 4-0, 3-1, and P5 3-1 team by a touchdown or less.

Your point is GS is bad. We hear you! No one cares here. GS may well be the bottom. How does that square with my point?

The top of the Belt has not been close to the bottom in years. I would say the MAC is the tightest by far and it is not close in a bad way. When you consistently have divisional / conf champs with only 8 wins or even 7 wins they are all getting hammered OOC. We usually have had multiple double digit an atleast 9 win teams then a big drop off to the bottom.

Both GS are CCU are good, improved teams. Each has good coaches and think both will have nice wins this season. CCU has the beach as its recruitment tool while GS has a major metro area. Both will continue to get better.

Assuming your referencing Ga state here. We've pretty much adopted the GS here at Southern.

Was thinking about this a few days ago....here's the records of the Georgia Alabama, and Carolina Sun Belt teams in Monroe since 2013:

Troy: 1-1
South Alabama: 0-3
Georgia Southern: 2-1
Georgia State: 0-3
App State: 1-1
Coastal: 0-2

That's an 11-4 record against these opponents and 23-32 overall in conference. Doesn't seem like just normal home field advantage stuff.

Look at the score differential in their away vs home games, it’s ridiculous.

Some of your records were off, I fixed them above. USA has only played at Malone twice since 2013 (it looks like you counted a game from 2012) and Georgia State beat us on homecoming a few years ago. We're only 12-14 in home conference games since 2013, with the only year above .500 being 2019 (3-1). The western teams do very well against us at our stadium, but the eastern teams don't.

GSU is usually Georgia State
GS is usually Georgia Southern

To avoid any confusion you can do GaSt or GaSo or something like that. I was like Statesboro is growing but a major market area? Also being in a large market has ZERO correlation with football sucess.
