Worst in the east?
Does App go from first to worst in the east? CCU and GA St look legit this season.

RE: Worst in the east?
If GS does anything besides blow the doors off of ULM today, they could be the worst in the east. We haven't seen a whole lot from Troy either. I agree with you about GSU and CCU, but App hasn't looked bad.

I'm not sold on GSU yet. ECU has a lot of issues right now.

The east is much improved and very competitive with App maybe taking a step back, but don't think everyone is THAT improved with App has taken THAT big of a step back. I will say it's anybody's division.

That's a peculiar question to pose.

Does App go to worst by being behind only two teams? You App folks have no idea what it is like to be bad.

It's been a while, but App State went 4-8 against a SoCon schedule in 2013 and started 1-5 the next year, losing to FCS Liberty and the only win against a non scholarship Campbell.

Much too early to tell still. Let's come back to this in 2 weeks.

App is likely going to go close to a month without full team organized practices....that isn't going to help matters.

What I posted on our site this week is that basically I am sitting and waiting. Our defense is playing exceptionally well but I am not a Nate Fuqua believer yet. I am still picking aroung the plate of crow but I am not sipping any of the glass of Kool Aid yet.

The parity in the Sun Belt from top to bottom is likely the tightest in FBS. It could be argued that for the most part the outcome of this season is a result of who's university / state is most effective dealing with a pandemic. Meaningful but in large part less to do with football. Statesboro for example has been considered a hot spot in Georgia for some time while Georgia led the nation in new cases per capita for a couple months. Still a top hot spot here and folks are reacting to it. This is crazy!

RE: Worst in the east?
That's the ugly side of fielding a team in this mess. I'm thinking that the more we load up the back end of the schedule with make up games, the bigger the impact of positive tests/ contact tracing will be. It's effectively given teams a home field advantage for some and taken it away for others. I know this season doesn't count towards eligibility, but there's something inherently unfair for the fans and players.

I think UL and App had put some distance on everyone. App may have slid back a tad but still good. Looks like CCU has hit another gear. After those three seems to be a good gap then a log jam.

So Ga state takes UL to overtime then GS loses on the road to UL by a 53 yard hail Mary kick then GS almost loses to ULM the following week and my point is moot? CCU looking like the front runner further makes my point.

GaSt also just curbed stomped ECU. TXST is 1-3 and is probably much better than us. We lost to the only good team and got lucky against a horrible FCS and a very bad ULM. TXST beat down ULM and has lost to 4-0, 3-1, and P5 3-1 team by a touchdown or less.
