Any back story on this? Seems pretty random. Did Sheldon even make a practice squad in the NFL?

I'm friends with Dan out here (L.A., he's a super nice guy FYI). Just texted him, he said he had a producer buddy that randomly told him about the casting call, and the director liked the football memorabilia/accolades that he had available. Too bad NIU wasn't featured, but good for Dan, fun stuff.

One of the clippings shows DeKalb but that’s about it. I’m guessing it was a rights issue.

We haven’t had a good punt returner since Sheldon. He was electric. Never got a real shot in the NFL. Small fast guys were not in demand like they are now.
