RE: Mountain West Announces 2020 Schedule
Alright, so Air Force plays 6 conference games plus Army and Navy, Boise State plays 7 conference games plus BYU, San Diego State plays 7 conference games plus an opponent TBD (is that also going to be BYU?), and everybody else plays 8 games. I was wondering what they were going to do about Air Force. Boise State and San Diego State being the other two teams that want to do a little bit of their own thing makes sense.

BYU and SDSU were originally scheduled to play in Provo on November 14. I wouldn't be surprised if SDSU's TBA game for December 12 is BYU....but that it is a backup game in case things change, so SDSU is available to play a make-up MWC game that week, if needed.

RE: Mountain West Announces 2020 Schedule
With teams playing different numbers of conference games, I wonder if they'll use winning "percentage" or simply number of wins to determine who wins each division. If they limit it to division games as opposed to all conference games, then it doesn't matter.

EDIT: Upon further inspection, it seems like they're doing away with divisions (Boise State and New Mexico don't play). So I guess whichever measure they choose to determine the top 2 will be based on all conference games.

Good schedule, if they can make it happen.

That's at least 1 good thing about not playing 12 regular season games. Conferences can make up whatever rules they want for who plays in the conference championship game.

I am still not sure how UNM is playing. There is still a 14 day quarantine of travel into the state.

I think most states have an exception if you're only in the state (or out of the state) for X number of hours with proper testing.

Is the MWC and B1G going to have the other teams play that aren't in the title game on that wk? I heard the B1G was considering.

The Big Ten started that strategy. The Pac-12 followed. The MW has 4 home and 4 away for all teams, no divisions, and plays in colder climes, so I don’t expect more than 2 teams playing December 19th.

Likely the BYU and Academy games will count toward the MW standings and determining the 2 CCG participants.

Hawaii, Fresno, SJSU, SDSU, UNLV aren't cold in Dec. low 60s here in Fresno. Bring the cold weather teams to the 5 of us.
